If you haven’t heard of the little Moncton, NB classifieds ad that became an internet senstation, click on the image below to read its clever copywriting.
This little ad generated almost half a million views in just a few days, but actually got much more attention then its visits counter shows through mainstream media. Dozens of major and local news outlets including The Huffington Post, CTV, The Star, and local radio stations picked up the story immediately. Even advertising industry authority, Adweek drove international attention to the ad.
A recent article that we commented on states that Weh-Ming Cho hasn’t accepted any of the numerous job offers he got through the ad, but from what we’ve heard he’s accepted a role at a local animation studio working on some high profile storyboards. And yes, he did sell the snowblower.
Good luck to you, Weh-Ming and we’ll be watching for the next copywriting superstar to show up.

I originally saw this posted on fb from a friend of mine in nova scotia when I posted it on my fb wall it got quite the amount of attention suddenly everyone was reposting it. This particular day was a snow day here in St. Johns Newfoundland so working for the school board I got the day off… And boy am I glad because I was miserable because of the snow but Mr. Cho I must congratulate you because you are a literary genius!!! This article made my day!! As I’m sure it did to many! It is absolutly hilarious! And although it may not mean much coming from the not so well known island of newfoundland, as I’m sure a lot of people especially in the usa believe canada ends at halifax! all the local radio stations here in St Johns were talking about the ad and the pure humor of it for weeks!!!

Wow What an ad!!!
This add was so good, I dont even want a snow blower and I read through it anyways. And now I want a snow blower, not just any snow blower, -HIS!!
I posted an ad in July looking for travel companions. Although it didn't get a half-million hits, it got 3,500+ and several newspaper articles written about it, including the Toronto Star doing a three-part article about the trip. It was pretty cool to get that kind of attention from the Kijiji ad.
Awww, you guys! Come on. You're making me blush over here.
Well done on the ad. Next time you're in Toronto give us a ring and we'll take you out for lunch.
i want that snow blower!!!!!!!
